Idaho Road Trip!

…to see David Archuleta Christmas concert in Idaho!  This wasn’t any old concert since we had front row seats and back stage passes!

I = Idaho!

“I” stands for Idaho!

My good friend Sara was responsible for getting us all hooked up!  Her dad works at BYU-Idaho and is in charge of all the events that happen at the college.  She told him back with David won American Idol, that if he brought him to the college that she would fly home from NY for the concert…so he booked David  and Sara flew home.  What a cool dad!

What’s even more cool is that during the sound check Sara’s dad had David call her on her cell phone.  We were just arriving in Idaho when Sara got his call.  She was pretty excited…to say the least.

Are you serious!

The call heard around the world!  (seriously.)

Loving Life!

Sitting in the front row…loving life!

Merry Christmas!

There were 2 parts to the concert.  The first part was his pop music, and the second part was his Christmas album.  What’s really cool is that for the Christmas part of the program the college  symphony accompanied him on stage.   It was honestly so, so  good.

After the concert was over we got to go backstage for the “after show party” to hangout, take pictures, and get autographs.

Thank-you Sara for such a fun weekend!  Road trip + good laughs + lots of talks +  David = One perfect weekend!  Come visit again soon… I miss you already!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy 28th Birthday!

..to me!

I love birthdays and I am so glad Jason has embraced this!  We have a fun tradition, on our actual birthday’s we do something special together then the weekend after our birthdays, we get together with family to celebrate some more!

This year we celebrated with Jason’s family at Color Me Mine and it was awesome!  Color Me Mine is a place where they have tons of raw ceramics that you get to paint and design.  Once you are all done you leave your masterpiece there and they fire it in their kilns and you pick the final product up a few days later.

I’d been wanting to go to this place for a while and was thrilled that we got to do it all together.

Awe, special.

I wish I had a picture of everyone’s final pieces because they all turned out great!  If you’ve never gone to Color Me Mine its a great place to go for dates, FHE, or birthdays!
