Registration!

No trip back to Utah would be complete without my getting a ticket from the Utah County Sheriff’s Department! Yes, of course I got pulled over…why does this always happen to me?!

Check out below all things that I have been charged with… SERIOULSY! I didn’t even know half of these things existed!

  1. Registration on the Car Expired.

Apparently, my registration has been expired since March.

My Plea: But I swear officer, it feels like just yesterday I was down at the DMV registering this thing. Has it really been a year already?

Officer: No, it’s been a year and a half!

Oops! That one was hard to rebuttal!

  2. Registration Revoked.

Apparently, if your car has not been registered with the state within 90 days of it expiring, the state can revoke your car, which means, if you get pulled over they can impound your car until you get it registered…apparently, my car was on Utah’s Most Wanted list. Better my car than me!

  3. No Proof of Insurance.

Apparently, you need this in your car at all times! Hello people, Allstate keeps sending my updated policy cards to my house in New York, so where do you think I keep them… you guessed it… my house in New York! I can barely get myself to the airport, I forgot my boarding pass as I was running out the door to catch my flight, as if there was any chance I would remember to grab my insurance cards…YEAH RIGHT!) Allstate is always telling me how I’m in good hands…I guess their hands don’t extent that far!

  4. Failure to notify the Utah DMV of my move to New York within 10 days of my moving.

I mean seriously! Don’t I get any points for remembering to notify the Post office… You think anyone calls the DMV…Seriously people… COME ON!

I am sure the officer could have kept finding other things to fine me for, but as you can see he ran out of lines on the ticket where you list out the violations!

PLEASE NOTE: Under the speeding category there is no information written. I wasn’t even pulled over for SPEEDING!!! The cop was behind me when I was at a stop light, ran my plates, and that’s what got me this ticket! UNBELIEVABLE!

I am collecting donations to help pay for this ticket (cash and all major credit cards accepted).

He’s my Favorite!

Yep, it’s true Jason is my favorite! (Let’s be honest, it’s not a secret!) Below is a picture of us hanging out on the boardwalk of the Jersey shore with the back-drop of New York behind us! I am laughing so hard in this picture because we decided we wanted a picture together but there was no one around to snap of shot for us. Fear not! This problem was solved in seconds when Jason noticed a garbage can that was just the right height for picture taking.  He got the camera in focus, perched it on top of the garbage can, set the timer, and then told me to run! Let me tell you…It was CLASSIC! Getting the camera in focus, setting the timer, and then getting into a picture perfect position is not as easy as you would think – THE PRESSURE! Lucky for us I think we were able to pull it off. This has turned out to be one of my all time favorite pictures.  Good times!

The Gang’s All Here!

I love summer time! This last weekend Karilyn (KA) and a few of her friends from DC (and her sister MJ) came out to New York to visit me! We had such a great time! Of course, being in New York there’s over a million things to do, so we had no problem keeping busy! Saturday we started off the day by getting tickets to the Broadway show “Legally Blonde”! It was a MEGA-HIT! After the show MJ and Jake were constantly reminding all of us, how much they enjoyed the show, by quoting the lines and performing for all of us the rest of the day! I’m pretty sure we’ll all being seeing the two of them on Broadway some day!

After Legally Blonde we decided to go back to the apartment, re-group (really to hide from the July heat), and finalize plans for that evening. Alex, one of our friends, suggested that we go over to Brooklyn to a popular pizza joint called “Grimaldi’s”.  The popular pizzeria is located under the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline in the background. AMAZING! Ok, let me give you an idea of what its takes to get a table at this place, picture this, you have to stand in a line located in front of the resterant that extends down the city block.  This line is SO LONG that it makes the lines at Disney Land (in the summer) look short!  I mean seriously, we are talking about getting a piece of pizza people, not a face-to-face meeting with the pope! It was ridiculous but was well worth the wait! The pizza was amazing and the experience priceless! We had a great time and I would recommend if you have a couple of hours, make a trip out of stopping by this place, I promise you won’t regret it!
